Carved mahogany. Wide open back with moulded spiral uprights, serpentine cresting rail carved acanthus leaves centering in a pendant of husks. Partly pierced vase splat, bordered with raised foliated scrolls, rising from shoe-piece carved rococo scrolls centering on a cabochon ornament. Arms of serpentine form, terminating in volutes. Leaf carved cabriole legs having paw and ball feet. Cabriole back legs terminating in pad feet. Covered in green velvet with original(?) nails.
