Carved from one round coconut shell in low relief. Carved with a broad band round the middle with twelve oval compartments in each of which is one of the twelve signs of the zodiac as rendered by the Burmese. At the bottom is a full-blown lotus. The rest of the surface is covered with concentric rings of petal ornament. The knob of the cover is missing
