Etching depicting groups of women in a harem, standing by a fountain before a wall in Bakhchysarai on the Crimean peninsula of Ukraine. Bakchisarai was the centre of the Tatar state of the Crimean peninsula. Bauer shows part of the residence of the Tatar Khans. Signed in pencil with initials MB. Inscribed on mount in pencil, in another hand, with title. Numbered No59 [of 100].
