Tibetan book comprising two carved wooden book-covers and a series of paper pages.

A volume of the Prajnaparamita or "Perfection of Wisdom" scriptures with carved representations on its front cover of the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, Manjusri, The Buddha of Infinite Life, Amitayus, and the wrathful protector, Vajrapani. This forms part of the Kangyur, the canonical Tibetan Buddhist literature in 108 volumes.

Acquired during the British expedition to Lhasa at Dongtse monastery.
