Black and white plastic battery operated robot called 'Robosapien' that comes with a remote control, a black hat, box and instruction booklet, made in China for Wow Wee in 2004.

A black and white plastic battery operated toy robot called Robosapien. The robot came with a remote controll, a black plastic hat (which he can pick up and throw) a box and an instruction booklet.

Robosapien was designed by Mark Tilden a Nasa scientist and manufactured by Wow Wee in China. The robot's technology is very advanced for the toy market and is a long way from the friction robots of the 1960s. Among a variety of functions, Robosapien can dance, wolfwhistle, gesticulate, grunt and snore. It has over 67 separate manoeuvres and is programmable. It was first released in 2004 and distributed by The Gadget Shop.
