Hans Jakob Plepp. Shields and crests of Hans Jakob Beck and Peyer, with scenes of the Angel with Hagar and Ishmael; and Lot and his daughters (both after Tobias Stimmer). Swiss, 1576-96.

Shields and crests for Hans Jakob Beck and Peyer (d.1509) enclosed in a circle with a pierced strapwork surround. Compartments at the top with the Angel appearing to Hagar and Ishmael and on the right, Lot and his daughters. At the sides, figures representing Christianity and Paganism, at the base two amorini holding Alpha and Omega and supporting a double cartouche.
