Sri Devi; Sculpture, bronze, India

The figure represents the sitting Goddess (Sri?) sitting in lalitasana pose with outer legs hanging down and holding (slightly different) lotus flowers in inner hands. She wears a breast band and her right hand is in abhaya mudra. May have sat on either side of a Vishnu image as part of larger temple shrine. There are crudely cut (later?) holes in the base for processional use. Copper colur, little wear. S.India, 1750-1825.
