Pipe bowl of red burnished earthenware, Asyut, middle of 19th century.

Pipe bowl of red burnished earthenware. Flaring bowl standing on a disc with a toothed edge. Short stem set at an angle to the bowl, decorated with carved milled and beaded bands. Similar carved decoration around the lower part of the bowl and on the upper side of the disc.

Given by the Commissioners of the Great Exhibition of 1851
