Tile of glazed earthenware in the 'cuerda seca' technique, and with enamel and gilded, Iran, late 14th century or early 15th century.

Tile of earthenware decorated with coloured glazes in the 'cuerda seca' technique, and with low-fired red enamel and gilded. Pentagonal in shape with white arabesques radiating from a central star on a blue ground. Spots and patched in red, turquoise and gold. Turquoise edge. The pattern is outlined in purplish black.

Part of a set of eight tiles C.9 to G-1959.
