Black and white photograph of a a brother and a sister posed standing up and holding hands. The male is wearing a smart suit with a white shirt and tie. The girl is wearing a long skirt and blouse.

This photograph is from a collection of family photographs of the Longcroft family, who lived in the Bethnal Green area of East London at the beginning of the 20th century. The family ran a wood working business from their house in Bethnal Green and there were a total of four brothers and seven sisters. This photograph is of two of the eldest siblings, Em (b.1898) and Frederick, known as Jim (b.1895) as young adults. Em later married and had two children but remained in the local area.
