Costume design by Leslie Hurry for a prisoner in chains in the play,Measure for Measure by William Shakespeare 1955. Measure for Measure play by William Shakespeare directed by Michael Benthall for the Old Vic Theatre’s 1955 tour of Australia headed by Robert Helpmann and Katherine Hepburn. The other two productions, the Merchant of Venice and The Taming of the Shrew dominated the publicity with Measure for Measure being added to the repertoire at Tivoli Theatre, Sydney on 31 May 1955. It was also seen in Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
